Upcoming Events: February 3rd, 2012 5:30pm - First Friday Happy Hour & Networking Buffalo Wild Wings February 15th, 2012 5:30pm - Blood in to Wine Blood Into Wine is a documentary chronicling the rise and success of the Stronghold Winery near Jerome, AZ owned and founded by Maynard Keenan of the band Tool. Stronghold Winery is the maker of the official Centennial wines - red, white, and rose. NexGen will be screening the documentary at The Historic Yuma Theatre which is also celebrating its centennial followed by a reception at the Yuma Art Center where Stronghold wine may be purchased by the glass or bottle. February 23rd, 2012 - Professional Development Mark your calendars for our next professional development event coming up on Thursday, February 23 at 5:30 p.m. Police Corporal Leanne Worthen with the Yuma Police Department will be our featured guest. She will giving us a workshop on safety and self defense tips. She can also answer any other questions you may have about YPD programs. Who: Police Corporal Leanne Worthen All are welcome. You do not have to be a NexGen member to attend. Please let me know if you plan on attending so we can have a proper headcount. February 23rd to 25th, 2012 - Yuma Art Symposium Sponsored by NexGen March 2nd, 2012 5:30pm - First Friday Happy Hour & Networking Midnight at the Oasis Car Show Tailgate Party March 6th, 2012 - Second City Comedy Show America's famed comedy troupe, The Second City, is coming to town in its one of a kind "Laugh Out Loud Tour." From the company that launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more, comes the next generation of the comedy world's best and brightest in an evening of hilarious sketch comedy and Second City's trademark improvisation. The key is to call the Theater and make sure to talk to Corinna (she's a NexGen board member) and she'll make sure we get credit for the sale and probably group us all in a section so we are kind of together. April 6th, 2012 5:30pm - First Friday Happy Hour & Networking Yuma County Fair Beer Garden April 20-21, 2012 - Yuma Film Festival April 29th, 2012 - Relay for Life Testimonial: Yuma Art Center Shindig Good Afternoon, I just wanted to thank you guys as well as all of the NexGen members for the $1,000 check that was presented to the Food Bank on Friday evening. We are very grateful for the contribution that was made to us and know that this check will be a huge aid in feeding hungry families in Yuma. We look forward to working with you in future events.
